USS Scott Reunion
over the dates of May 7-9, 2004.
Hello Shipmates,
As the first of the year is here, so is the info on the
SCOTT Reunion. We will hold the first SCOTT Reunion on 7-9
May 2004 at the RAMADA Plaza Resort Oceanfront in Virginia
Beach, Virginia. I have enclosed information on the room
rates and the reunion banquet menu. This is the first reunion
so plan to attend and make it a great SCOTT Hot Shot time.
The following is an agenda for the weekend:
Friday May 7th - there will be a hospitality suite at the
hotel beginning 1830 (6:30 PM incase you forgot) until the
last person leaves, with light snacks and drink. This is
a great chance to greet and meet with old shipmates, tell
a few tales, meet a few new shipmates and listen to a few
sea stories - maybe ones you haven’t heard.
Saturday May 8th - we will have a social hour at 1800-1900
with a cash bar. Dinner is from 1900-2030 - the menu is
in the package. I know this is a little pricey for dinner,
but in order to get the ball rolling and get the info out,
I chose the menu and tried to please as many as possible
with the selection. 2030-2330 will have a DJ and a cash
bar for our enjoyment.
Sunday May 9th - we will have a very short business meeting
to get a committee together to plan additional reunions.
I believe we got a great rate for the rooms and have all
the right makings for a great time. The rooms are as follows:
Oceanfront $89.00 + taxes
Non-oceanfront $75.00 + taxes
One-room Suites $149.00 + taxes
Two-room Suite $199.00 + taxes
I have been in all the rooms and they are very nice. They
include a coffee maker with coffee, refer, microwave and
all have a nice balcony. These rooms are a $50.00 savings
from regular season rates. There will be a $10.00 per Shipmate
Reunion Fee to cover the cost of the DJ, Bartender, and
the hospitality room.
Please complete the form on the last page and return to
me no later than 9 April, 2004, with your check or money
order. We must have a firm head count at that time. Please
reproduce this and pass it on to Shipmate who may have not
heard about our reunion.
